The Challenge gives you the structure—twelve weeks of actionable tasks that move you room by room through your home. The book gives you the *why* behind those tasks and prepares you mentally for the decisions you'll face along the way. Together, they create a complete system: one that changes not just your space, but how you think about it. You'll move through the Challenge with more confidence, less resistance, and a deeper understanding of what you're building. The book isn't required, but it ensures you get the full benefit of every step.

Class Schedule (All Videos Are Available Now)

Week 1 - Landing Zone Launch Pad

WATCH WEEK 1 CLASS VIDEO

This week’s Home Organization Challenge is all about laying the groundwork—mentally, emotionally, and practically—for the changes you want to make in your home. We begin by looking at the cognitive load of clutter, using stories like the Tale of Two Hair clips and Melissa’s Catchall Counter to show the cognitive load isn’t about the size or obviousness of the item; it’s about how your brain interprets it. It’s a reminder that the most important part of organizing isn’t the bins or the labels—it’s your brain. If your systems aren’t built to support how you
think and live, they won’t last.

Week 2 - Junk Drawer Judgement Day

WATCH WEEK 2 CLASS VIDEO

Welcome to Week 2 of the Home Organization Challenge. Last week, we focused on your Landing Zone and Launch Pad—small but mighty spaces that set the tone for your day. This week, we’re going deeper. We’re talking about the two forces that determine whether your organizing efforts stick: Identity and Decision Fatigue.

Week 3 - Closet Corner Clean Out

WATCH WEEK 3 CLASS VIDEO

A closet is rarely just a closet. It may look like a simple storage space, but for most people it quietly holds emotions, identities, guilt, and “someday” stories. That’s why, in this week’s lesson, we focused on just one small section rather than the entire space.

Week 4 - Cleaning Supply Consolidation

WATCH WEEK 4 CLASS VIDEO

This week we explored how scattered cleaning supplies and household backstock create unnecessary friction in your daily routines. Most homes keep these items in multiple places — under sinks, in bathrooms, in the laundry room, in closets, and sometimes even in the garage. While this  often happens unintentionally, it creates a system that makes your brain work harder than it needs to. Every time you go looking for a leaner, a sponge, or a bottle of shampoo, your mind has to remember where each version might be hiding. That invisible mental effort adds up.

Week 5 - The NOT Pnterest Perfect Pantry

WATCH WEEK 5 CLASS VIDEO

This week we explored the truth about pantries: they are one of the most used, most shared, and most emotionally loaded spaces in the home. A pantry holds daily essentials, snacks, meal ingredients, baking  supplies, fresh produce, and often the habits of every person who lives in the home. Because of this, pantries are also one of the easiest places for systems to break down. Our goal this week is not to create a  Pinterest-perfect pantry. It's to build a pantry that works — one that  reduces cognitive load, supports your routines, and makes feeding  yourself and your family easier.

Week 6 - Friction Free Foundations

WATCH WEEK 6 CLASS VIDEO

Your home either creates friction or creates flow. Friction is anything that slows your brain down — lids, stacked bins, deep shelves, scattered storage, or systems that require multiple steps. Even tiny obstacles
make your brain hesitate, and hesitation becomes clutter. Flow is the opposite. Flow happens when your systems are simple, predictable, and easy to use. When putting something away takes one step instead of
three, your brain follows through automatically. Reducing friction isn’t about making your home perfect — it’s about making it easy enough that  your brain says “yes” without effort.

Week 7 - Make-Up, Medicine & More a Better Bathroom Drawer

WATCH WEEK 7 CLASS VIDEO

Bathroom drawers tend to become chaotic because they hold so many small, frequently used items—hair ties, makeup, medicine, skincare, dental supplies, and all the tiny tools we reach for without thinking. Over time, these drawers become catch-alls for expired products, duplicates, and things that never found a proper home. Understanding why the space gets messy is the first step toward creating a drawer that supports your daily routine rather than adding stress to it.

Week 8 - Community Corner Clean-Up

WATCH WEEK 8 CLASS VIDEO

Community-use areas are some of the most revealing spaces in a home because they show how people actually live together—not how they intend to live. Whether it’s a laundry room, an entry closet, a game cupboard, or a shared bookshelf, these zones carry the weight of multiple routines, multiple personalities, and multiple definitions of “done.”

Week 9 - Perfectly Planned Purge

WATCH WEEK 9 CLASS VIDEO

There is a moment in every organizing journey when you finally turn toward the space you've been avoiding. You know the one; the closet that won't close, the craft bins that are bulging, the holiday décor you  haven't sorted in years, or the overflowing wardrobe. These spaces aren't just cluttered, they hold postponed decisions, unfinished stories, and items you've been meaning to deal with "someday." Week 9 is about making someday a date on your calendar. Giving that "day" a planned structured.

Week 10 - Digital Declutter & Online Overhaul

WATCH WEEK 10 CLASS VIDEO

A digital declutter isn't just about deleting files—it's about reducing the invisible cognitive load that builds up every time you open your computer and feel that tiny spike of overwhelm. The key is to approach this process the same way you approach physical organization: with boundaries, clarity, and a plan that actually works. You're not trying to "finish" your digital clean up this week. You're building a system that can be used a little bit each day to help you stay organized.

Week 11 - Paperwork, Planning & Process

WATCH WEEK 11 CLASS VIDEO

A home office is more than a workspace. It’s the command center of your life. The place where decisions accumulate, responsibilities live, and the cognitive load of adulthood quietly builds. Last week, during Digital Declutter & Online Overhaul, we focused on reducing invisible friction in your digital world. This week, we bring that same clarity into your physical workspace.

Week 12 - Overwhelmed to Organized

WATCH WEEK 12 CLASS VIDEO

As we arrive at the final week of the Home Organization Challenge, something subtle but profound happens. The work shifts. For twelve weeks, you've been opening drawers, clearing counters, resetting micro zones, and learning how your home responds when you give it just a little more clarity. But this week isn't about a space at all. It's about recognition — not of the clutter you've cleared, but of the person you've become while clearing it.

Step 4: Join Our HOC Facebook Group

As part of the HOC, we have an exclusive Facebook group for members going through the challenge! In this Facebook group, you can share your progress, ask questions, and meet other members!
